Low Pressure Switch
Part Number: 12642
Description: Low Pressure Switch (Required if Jack Head is above power unit)
Product Overview: The Low Pressure Switch is specifically designed and tested for hydraulic elevator applications, ensuring reliable and precise performance. Pre-set for fast and accurate response, this switch activates under low-pressure conditions to enhance the safety and operation of hydraulic systems.
Key Features
- Application-Specific Testing: Designed and tested for optimal performance in hydraulic elevator systems.
- Pre-Set Activation: Pre-configured for quick and precise response in low-pressure scenarios.
- Safety Compliance: Meets industry standards for hydraulic elevator safety, ensuring secure and reliable operation.
Functionality
- Safety Mechanism: Upon activation, the switch prevents automatic door opening and disables the lowering valve(s). However, the door(s) can be opened manually using the in-car door button when the elevator car is within the unlocking zone.
Compliance
- ASME A17.1-2010 Rule 3.26.8: This pressure switch complies with ASME A17.1-2010 standards, which mandate the installation of a pressure switch when cylinders are positioned above the top of the storage tank. The switch must be placed in the line between the cylinder and the valve, and it activates when there is a loss of positive pressure at the top of the cylinder.
The Pressure Switch has been tested specifically for hydraulic elevator applications. The switch has been pre-set for a fast and accurate response in a low-pressure activation.
ASME A17.1-2010 Rule 3.26.8 - When cylinders are installed with the top of the cylinder above the top of the storage tank, a pressure switch shall be provided in the line between the cylinder and the
valve, which shall be activated by the loss of positive pressure at the top of the cylinder. The switch shall prevent automatic door opening and the operation of the lowering valve or valves. The door(s) shall be permitted to open by operation of the in-car door button, when the car is within the unlocking zone
